About Us: The Peoria Presbyterian Preschool is a community preschool. It is non-denominational and non-sectarian. It is for children between the ages of 3-5 years. Classes are held Tues., Wed., and Thurs. The morning class is from 9:00-11:30 a.m. The afternoon class is from 12:30-3:00 p.m. School is in session during the months of September through May. We are a licensed facility with a high staff-to-student ratio. We employ state certified staff with low staff turnover. We offer quality education at affordable tuition. What we offer: Kindergarten Prep Crafts and Music Field Trips to Pumpkin Patch, Dairy Farm, Gingerbread House display & hayride, Fire Station, Police Station, Post Office and the Zoo. Parties for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, off campus Easter Egg Hunt, end-of- the-year pool and pizza party. Special Days include Discovery Day where they do Fall crafts and the children prepare vegetable soup and cookies; Bear Day where they bring their favorite bear to school and learn about bears. Pajama Day A day set aside to wear PJs and bring a blanket and pillow. They learn why rest is important. Penguin Day A day to wear black and white and learn to walk like penguins. Medical Day teaches the children how to view x-rays and listen to their hearts. They get to ride in wheel chairs and make casts. Fruit & Vegetable Day On this special day they plant seeds, taste the different fruits and vegetables and release lady bugs. Mother’s Day Tea is an annual event where the children learn to present a special program. Cake, punch and other items are served in a way that matches “the theme” of the day. Graduation Ceremony Caps and gowns are worn by the graduating students and a reception follows the “main event.”
